Your invitation to the 2005 International Porcine Reproductive and Respiration Syndrome (PRRS) Symposium

We invite you to attend the 2005 International PRRS Symposium December 2-3, 2005 in St. Louis, Missouri (USA). The International PRRS Symposium will begin the evening of Friday December 2, 2005 with the opening of the Poster Session, a Keynote Address, and a Reception. The meeting will continue on Saturday December 3 with presentations and discussions on (1) the PRRS viral genome, (2) diagnostics, (3) the immune response against PRRS virus, and (4) PRRS virus ecology, epidemiology, and elimination.

Researchers, graduate students, and swine health specialists are invited attend the Symposium and to submit abstracts for presentation. For those who need a U.S. visa, letters of invitation may be obtained from Dr. Jeff Zimmerman – be sure to include a complete FAX number.

On-line Registration
Although there is no charge to attend the Symposium, registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. On-line registration is available at: International Symposium 2005

On-line Abstract Submission
Submission of abstracts dealing with any aspect of PRRS or PRRS virus are solicited. The deadline for submitting abstracts is August 26, 2005. Complete instructions are available at:

CRWAD
The PRRS International Symposium will be held immediately before the Conference of Research Workers in Animal Diseases (December 4-6, 2005). The two meetings are coordinated, but organized independently of each other. Having come to the PRRS Symposium, you might as well stay on for CRWAD! Likewise, researchers who have submitted an abstract for presentation at the PRRS Symposium are encouraged to submit their work for presentation at CRWAD.
