Rob Meloen

Studied Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Free University in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Utrecht in immunology/virology. Rob is one of the world’s leading scientists in Molecular Recognition and is the founder of the “Pepscan technology”, a concept that is generally regarded as the scientific origin of Combinatorial Chemistry. He holds a Professorship at the University of Utrecht and has longtime headed a research group at the research Institute for Animal Science and Health (ID, Lelystad, The Netherlands). Rob is the leader and instigator of Pepscan’s research team that has built an outstanding reputation in the fields of molecular recognition and translation into design and reconstruction of ‘difficult’ conformational antigenic sites as building blocks for immuno therapeutics.
